Experimental Studies on the Wound Healing Under Medicament and Acupuncture Anesthesia in Dogs

Abstract

|
Effects on the healing process of the wound was compared between acupuncture and medicament anesthesia. Ten adult dogs were used and far medicament anesthesia thiopental sodium (Ravonal ⓡ) was injected.
Incisions were made under anesthesia and thereafter clinical signs were observed and histopathological examinations were performed. Experimental results were summanized as fo11owing;
No differences were found in the clinical signs between the two groups. Macroscopically and microscopically, the healing process was a little faster in the wounds under acupuncture anesthesia than under medicament anesthesia.
